Meridian Systems Releases Prolog 2008, a New Upgraded Version of its Market Leading Construction Project Management Software
Software showcases new user interface and extensive infrastructure upgrades
FOLSOM, Calif. (June 4, 2008) – Meridian Systems announced today the release of Prolog® 2008 software, a new release featuring several product enhancements. Prolog, the market leader in construction project management software, now features a refreshed user interface that enables easier navigation for user productivity. Additional features include many customer requested enhancements that optimize company performance, increase usability, and improve overall project communication and collaboration.

With the new interface, users familiar with Microsoft Outlook will find the Prolog 2008 software easy to navigate and use. Meridian's development team replaced the traditional Prolog Manager switchboard with an expandable and collapsible menu design. The Prolog navigation bar has also been updated with larger, easier-to-understand icons. As always, Prolog users continue to have the ability to configure the interface to best suit their business needs.

- Ability to limit revisions to Potential Change Orders (PCO) that are linked to other documents
- Advanced database performance and archiving capability
- Contract centric PCOs
- Default Crystal XI® reporting
- Easy to access Contact and Company Lookup buttons
- Enhanced security level attributes
- Greater Quick Print reporting capability
- Improved List Group and Lookup Group data export
- RFI "drag & drop" file attachments
- User-friendly duplicate Company Manager features
- Enhanced view and redline capabilities available in Rasterex Version 9. The Rasterex viewer supports the most common file types, and has native markup, robust redlining and 3D file viewing.
- Master Format 2004 - Support for Master Format 2004, as well as the existing Master Format 1995 is included with Prolog 2008. Users have the ability to choose which format (or both) they wish to use on a project specific basis. Prolog 2008 contains Master Format 2004 CSI codes. Additionally, CSI Codes can now be updated by administrators even if they are already linked to existing records.

In addition to the release of Prolog software 2008, Meridian is also announcing a program to encourage users to renew lapsed support agreements. Until September 26, 2008, Meridian customers with expired support agreements will have the opportunity to renew without penalty fees.
